Jean de la lalonde dit lesperance
In the year of our Lord one thousand six hundred and eighty
seven the thirtieth day of September Jean de
lalonde dit LEsperance labourer resident
of the parish of St. Louys at the end of the isle
of Montreal forty seven years of age
native of havre de Grace diocese of
Rouen in normandy passed away in the
communion of our mother Holy Church
having been killed by the Iroquois his body
was buried in the bosom of the church of
St. Louys the first day of the month of October of the
same year and Guillaume Daoust
his son-in-law and Cybard Courreau surgeon
friend of the deceased who assisted in the service
have signed with me.

sept le trentiesme jour de septembre Jean de
lalonde dit LEsperance labourer habitant
de la paroisse St. Louys du haut de l'isle
de Montreal aagé de quarante sept ans
natif de havre de Grace diocese de
Rouen en normandie est decede en la
communion de notre mere Ste Eglise
ayant este tué des Iroquois dont le corps a
esté inhume dans l'enceinte de l'eglise de
St. Louys le premier jour d'octobre de la
meme année ce que Guillaume Daoust
son gendre et Cybard Courreau chirurgien
amy du deffunct qui ont assisté au
ont signe avec moy.
