She was born on July 29th 1922 in Sturgeon Falls, ON. At the age of 17 in 1939, she joined the Congregation of the Daughters of Wisdom which at the time was a sizeable religious community in this area of northern Ontario. In 1941, she made her vows. Germaine worked as a tailor for many years. A fellow sister describing her work told me: " Oh no! she wasn't just a tailor, she was an artist!!" Our anscestor, Guillaume is in her blood!
Today, Germaine lives in Ottawa, ON. In the summer
of 2001, she celebrated 60 years of sisterhood.
