Se rattachant au « style gothique premier », il est tout à fait caractéristique de « l’art gothique normand », qui s’épanouit alors dans la province (notamment au chœur de Saint-Étienne de Caen et à la cathédrale de Coutances). Il comprend une élévation à trois niveaux : grandes arcades, galerie du triforium très ornée et fenêtres hautes.
The construction of the choir was begun around 1220 and finished some 20 years later. Similar to the 1st Gothic architectural style it was very characteristic of the Norman Gothic style found in the Choir of Saint Etienne of Caen and the cathedral of Coutances. It is on three elevations: the main level being a central triforium - very ornate, large arcades and high windows.
